“Culture Eats Strategy for Breakfast”

This observation, attributed to Peter Drucker and popularized by Ford Motor Company, where it continues to hang in the companyʼs War Room, illumines perhaps the #1 reason for burnout. No matter how brilliant (or expensively-obtained- by-consultant) the strategy, if bitterness, distrust, and fear are shaped into norms of how things get done, nothing gets done. Creativity, innovation, and a sense of responsibility for the entire organization inform a culture in which each member can thrive.

  2. It’s kind of like the Speed of Trust. It saves a lot of time and money when people are trusting. It motivates people when people trust them to create. Daniel Pink is a great author who talks about creativity and motivation. Very good post, Tanushree – as usual. I want to welcome you to the Ligo Circle of Appreciation. This isn’t a contest, but just a thanks for what you do. Stop by my website and take a look. http://wp.me/p2jC53-IB
